Fantasy Football Advice Week 14: Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em Recommendations

I took a week off from suggestions because of the Thanksgiving holiday, but we are back now and hoping for a perfect week. This week features the best rivalry in the NFL as the Bears face the Packers. Both teams are fighting for first place in not just the division but the entire NFC, too. Football is better when the Bears and Packers are good.

Start ‘Em

Khalil Shakir, WR, Buffalo Bills

Shakir is a confusing player because he either gets eight or more targets or he gets three, making it hard to know when to start him. Against the Steelers, he saw four targets and caught one for just five yards. But this week he is going up against the Bengals defense, who are the worst in the league in passing yards allowed. This feels like a strong bounce back spot and I expect a big game.

Romeo Doubs, WR, Green Bay Packers

Doubs has struggled recently with only three and four targets in each of the last two weeks. This matchup against the Bears is interesting because they have a strong secondary. But Jayden Reed is returning, and he should draw most of the defensive attention, which creates opportunities for Doubs to get open.

Chris Olave, WR, New Orleans Saints

The Saints are bad, but Olave keeps producing. His last three fantasy games have been 14, 16, and 21 points. He is the No. 7 wide receiver on Sleeper this season and continues to gel with quarterback Tyler Shough. This week he faces the Buccaneers, who have been struggling on defense because of injuries. In their last meeting, Olave saw 12 targets and caught eight of them for 63 yards.

Sit ‘Em

Isiah Pacheco, RB, Kansas City Chiefs

Pacheco has a few issues working against him this week. He does not score many touchdowns because the Chiefs use Kareem Hunt near the goal line. He is also dealing with an injury that sidelined him for three games before returning against Dallas, and he only saw five touches. Now he faces the Texans, who rank in the top five in almost every defensive metric and allow only 92 rushing yards per game. This is a difficult matchup.

Rachaad White, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Bucky Irving is back, which means White returns to the RB2 role. Irving played 52 percent of the snaps in his return and still posted a good stat line. White has also had several disappointing performances in a row. Last week he had only two rushing attempts with Irving back in the lineup, so I expect more of the same as Irving continues to regain full health.

Darnell Mooney, WR, Atlanta Falcons

Mooney has had an up and down season and has surpassed double digit targets only once, and he caught four passes in that game. He also has just one touchdown this year. With Kirk Cousins under center for the rest of the season, I do not fully trust this Falcons offense, so Mooney is better left on the bench.
