Fantasy Football Week 13 Waiver Wire Targets and Best Pickups

It’s fair to say Kenneth Gainwell, Emanuel Wilson, and Darnell Mooney were major successes from last week’s waiver wire picks. Chig Okonkwo was solid enough, and the Packers delivered a matchup-winning 18 points on defense.

Week 13 doesn’t present quite as many slam-dunk picks. Thankfully, we didn’t see as many season-altering injuries in Week 12, so matchups are the decisive factor in most of our selections.

Tyler Allgeier

It’s not Tyler Allgeier’s first appearance on this list. Allgeier has been a great option in deeper leagues and looks a good streaming option in eight- and 10-team leagues for Week 13.

Atlanta is facing a Jets team that has been mediocre at defending the run. There’s every chance Drake London misses the game, which could help keep Allgeier around the 40% mark in snap count.

The Falcons have repeatedly gone to Allgeier in the redzone, leading to seven rushing touchdowns.

Andrei Iosivas

Rostered in just 1.8% of NFL Fantasy leagues, Andrei Iosivas was Cincinnati’s WR2 in Week 12 and should maintain that role in Week 13. He was targeted seven times with Ja’Marr Chase suspended and should see a similar workload with Chase replacing the concussion-protocolled Tee Higgins for Week 13 against the Ravens.

Iosivas just had his third-highest snap count of the season. It’s not out of the question that he’s on the field for 60+ snaps in Week 13, particularly if Joe Burrow returns and the Bengals end up in a shootout with Baltimore.

He should go comfortably over his career average of 28 yards per game.

Brenton Strange

Strange is a player to strongly consider if you have been streaming tight ends. He’s rostered in less than 10% of leagues and grabbed all five of his targets for 93 yards in Week 12.

Fresh off leading the Jags in receiving, Strange gets to go up against the lowly Titans. Tennessee has a decent record against opposing tight ends, but that’s not enough to prevent us from going with Strange in this spot.

He’s likely to be back to an offensive snap rate of 80% after slowly returning to action in Week 12.

Jacoby Brissett

Only four teams concede more fantasy points to quarterbacks than the Buccaneers. Jacoby Brissett has been able to throw at an outrageous rate over the last few weeks, with 43.5 pass attempts per game since he became the starter.

Brissett has been between 18.68 and 24.84 points in each game over that period. He has thrown only three interceptions to 11 touchdowns and his 7.2 yards per attempt ranks above the league average.

Whether or not Baker Mayfield plays for the Bucs, Arizona will put the ball in Brissett’s hands and let him throw all game long.

Jaguars Defense

Jacksonville recorded six sacks against the Cardinals in Week 12, and Week 13 brings another great matchup. The Jaguars have had multiple sacks in all four games since their bye week and now face one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL in the Titans.

The Jaguars also consistently force turnovers and have stifled opposing offenses throughout the season. They should be able to wreak havoc against a dysfunctional Tennessee team.

Owned in just 32.5 percent of leagues, the Jags defense is going to be a widely popular streaming option this week.
