How did we get to the fantasy playoffs already? Shedeur Sanders has officially been named Cleveland’s starting quarterback going forward, the NFC Wild Card race is getting crowded, and we have only four weeks left to survive and advance. Let’s get into this week’s recommendations.
My Start calls from last week did not exactly light it up, combining for just 16 total points. Khalil Shakir at least delivered a respectable outing with two catches and a touchdown for 10 points. Romeo Doubs was almost invisible with Jayden Reed back in action, finishing with zero catches on two targets. And Chris Olave was quiet despite the Saints win, ending with 30 yards and just 6 points.
My Sit picks, however, were picture perfect. Kansas City’s banged up offensive line caused Isaiah Pacheco to stumble to only 30 rushing yards. Rachaad White put up 53 yards and 6.5 points. Darnell Mooney caught one pass for six yards. Clean sweep.
Here are this week’s recommendations.
Start ‘Em
Travis Kelce, TE, Kansas City Chiefs
Kelce is still the TE3 on Sleeper, even though it does not feel like it. He had a brutal drop that led to the game-sealing interception last week, but this is a must-win game for Kansas City. They need their stars to show up, and I think this is a bounce-back spot for Kelce.
Jakobi Meyers, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars
Meyers is heating up at the right time. He has posted 14, 21, and 15 fantasy points over his last three games. He saw 10 targets last week, and now he gets the Jets, who have been generous to opposing receivers not named WR1. Another double-digit outing feels likely.
Jalen Hurts, QB, Philadelphia Eagles
Starting Hurts after a five-turnover meltdown is not for the faint of heart, but the matchup makes sense. The Raiders defense is beatable, and Hurts should have success throwing to AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith. He is not the elite quarterback Eagles fans want to believe he is, but he is still a strong fantasy play this week.
Sit ‘Em
Courtland Sutton, WR, Denver Broncos
The target volume is nice, but this matchup is not. The Broncos' offense has been flat with Bo Nix running the show, and Green Bay’s defense is one of the best groups in football. Denver may win, but Sutton’s fantasy output is likely to disappoint.
Michael Pittman Jr., WR, Indianapolis Colts
The Colts' season has collapsed under injuries. Daniel Jones tore his Achilles, Riley Leonard is not healthy, and now 44-year-old Philip Rivers may be asked to step in against Seattle. The Seahawks defense is legit. I do not expect Pittman to have much opportunity or production in this situation.
Christian Watson, WR, Green Bay Packers
Watson has strung together two good games, but all signs point to a letdown. Denver’s defense is excellent, and he will likely see a lot of Patrick Surtain. With Watson tied up, expect Jordan Love to lean on other weapons.
